Do pastas make them fat?

We consume between 14 and 18 Pounds of pasta per year. These cereal foods appeal especially to children who regularly ask for more. But some people have the ultimate belief that pasta makes you fat. Certainly, this dish is rich in carbohydrates and brings to the body a good source of energy. But scientists are unanimous: pasta is absolutely not responsible for overweight or body fat and can be incorporated into a weight loss diet. However, when added to this dish an industrial sauce or filled with fat, the caloric load increases considerably.

In addition, the Belgian Diabetes Association indicates that people with diabetes can eat pasta without risking their blood glucose levels by following certain principles. First, you have to cook pasta “al dente” to reduce the carbohydrate load of the dish. Then, we must focus on a vegetable-based accompaniment. And finally, better to opt for complete pasta. Indeed, a scientific study indicates that whole foods are rich in fiber and have beneficial effects on health. These help to improve insulin resistance, reduce the release of fatty acids and take care of the intestinal flora.

The tasty recipe for complete pasta:

Ingredients for 4 persons

As you can see, pasta does not grow as long as it is prepared with a healthy sauce.
– 300 grams of complete pasta

– ½ cup plain yogurt without sugar

– ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

– 1 teaspoon of salt

– 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 1 tablespoon olive oil- 3 medium sized zucchini cut into thin strips

– 2 cloves of minced garlic- 8 cherry tomatoes

Preparation:

For pasta:

First, bring a pan of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 9 minutes until al dente. Then remove the water and drain your pasta. Book them and proceed to the preparation of your sauce.

For the sauce:

Mix the plain yogurt with parmesan and lemon juice in a bowl. Then salt and pepper at your convenience then put your preparation aside.

Take a large skillet and heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the zucchini to the pan. Cook them by turning them regularly on each side, until their texture becomes soft.

Then add the garlic to the pan and continue cooking for 30 seconds while mixing.

Then add the cherry tomatoes to the mixture and cook for about two minutes.

Finally, add your yogurt mix to your zucchini. Add a tablespoon of water to obtain a lighter consistency.
