What happened when I started the body type diet
When I was taking my classes to be a Naturopath, my teacher explained about the three body types for men, and four female body types. I found out that I had a thyroid body type, the description fit me to a T.
She explained that my type preferred to be vegetarian but that it was very difficult for me to get enough protein for my body type. However, if you are vegetarian, don’t worry, that may be fine for your body type, for me it wasn’t the best plan.
At that time I had been vegetarian for 16 years, it went along with my whole yogic philosophy of not harming animals, ending world hunger, etc. There was no way I was going to eat meat!
As the classes continued, day after day, I began to realize and understand the huge positive impact and complete and total transformation to your health when you eat right for your body type.
I finally decided to try it out for myself. I started eating poultry and fish. I began eating eggs for breakfast, I cut down on sugar and I followed my body type diet. The results were nothing short of miraculous.
Slowly over time, my energy increased big time! Gone were the afternoon energy crashes. My strength and stamina increased ten fold. I went from one of the slowest in my cycling club to one of the fastest women.
The eczema I had on my hands for twenty years cleared up, never to return. Before, my complexion had been as white as a ghost, and now my cheeks gained a very rosy, healthy, glow. I felt so balanced and centered.
Now, I wake up every day with tons of energy and I go non-stop all day long, enjoying life to the fullest with high energy that lasts without any need for coffee or sugar to spike me up.
Even if you don’t need to lose weight, eating right for your body type completely transforms your health!

You can lose the weight you want to and feel satisfied and balanced while you do so.
So you need an answer to the question, “What is my body type?”
If you are a woman you may have a pear-shaped body type. You tend to gain weight around the lower body. This is known as the Gonad body type, which has to do with the ovaries.
On the other hand, men or women who have a strong upper body, large chest, are usually an adrenal type. As I mentioned I am a thyroid body type, if I gain weight it tends to be around the middle.
And there is the pituitary body type, when overweight, they have baby fat all over the body.
And some people have a skinny body type. Don’t you just hate that? : )

For each type, the gland in question, adrenals, thyroid, pituitary, or gonad, (ovaries for women,) is overworking. The other glands are weaker and are trying to catch up.
As long as there is this glandular imbalance, long term weight loss will be very difficult, if not impossible.
When you eat for your body type you nourish the weaker glands and allow the dominant gland to rest.
When you give your body the right amount and right kinds of food at the right time you feel satisfied.

What about the endomorph body type, mesomorph body type and ectomorph body type? These only give part of the picture. They show whether the body is slim or overweight but they don’t provide specific diets to balance each type.
